Prince George's County Police had asked for the public's help finding Basith Akinola Salami after he got off the school bus near Doubletree Lane and Citrus Lane but didn't go home Tuesday.
A neighbor who spotted Salami in a wooded area not far from the boy's home alerted police.
When he was found, Salami told police he had gotten into trouble at school and was afraid to go home.
