Police: Jogger sexually assaulted on trail

TAKOMA PARK, Md. - Police are looking for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman while she was jogging.

Montgomery County Police say a woman was dragged into the woods along the Sligo Creek Stream Valley Trail in Takoma Park around 5 p.m. Thursday.

Once inside the woods, the suspect sexually assaulted the woman.

Police say the suspect is a Hispanic man, age 25-35 and about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 9 inches with a short military-style haircut. He was wearing a heavy long sleeve beige shirt and baggy pants.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area near the Carroll Avenue Bridge to call them at 240-773-TIPS (8477).
